Mater Dei Seminary takes your privacy seriously and takes precautions to protect the personal information provided by users of our website, subscribers to our newsletter and all of our customers. We formulated this policy with a fundamental respect for our users’ right to privacy and to guide our relationships with our users.
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
MATERDEISEMINARY.ORG collects a small amount of information from our website users and newsletter subscribers. We only collect information that we need that is related to your donation, newsletter subscription, or to reply to a contact form you have sent in. We do not share, sell or distribute this information with anyone.

WEBSITE

When you visit our website we may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information, such as online behavior and information about your computer, mobile or other device. The information collected may include, without limitation, the make, model, settings, specifications (e.g., CPU speed, connection speed, browser type, operating system, device identifier) and geographic location of you and/or your computer, mobile or other device, as well as date/time stamp, IP address, pages visited, time of visits, content viewed, ads viewed, the site(s), application(s), destination(s), and/or service(s) you arrived from, and other clickstream data. CONTACT FORMS
When you submit a contact form to initiate email communication with us, we store your name, email address and message so that we can send you a reply. These emails may also stored for our internal administrative purposes, and to help us to better serve the users our web site. However, this information is not added to our emailing lists, nor is it shared with anyone. It is only accessible to those staff members who need to do so in order to fulfill their duties. Personal messages such as requests for spiritual counsel or vocational inquiries for men interested in becoming priests or Brothers are handled by a priest or Vocations Director. Any requests for the prayers of the priests & seminarians at Mater Dei Seminary are shared with the seminary and may be posted on their Prayer Intention board.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
For our donation services that require online payment, we utilize a secure donation service, Paypal.com as a payment gateway. Paypal.com securely collects your credit card information and processes the donation. For more information on how they handle personal data, please visit their privacy policy. MATERDEISEMINARY.ORG does not collect credit card information (such as account name, number, expiration date, and verification code).
When you make a donation or payment, we may ask you to provide your name and mailing address, email address and phone number. This information is collected so that we can fulfill your order and contact you about your donation or payment. NEWSLETTER
We use a third-party provider, WPForms, for anyone interested to signup for our mailed newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. For more information, please see WPForms privacy policy.
When you sign up for our free newsletters, which are available in print form, we may ask you to provide your name and address and/or email address. We use this information to solely so that we can provide the requested publication. We may use demographic information about our audience to improve our service, for marketing purposes and/or industry reporting purposes.

(Examples of this would be WPforms.com, which handles our newsletter signup, and Paypal.com, which processes credit card information for us.)
