Dear friends of the seminary,
We would like to congratulate our seminarians who received orders yesterday on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Kyle St. Aubin (Canada), Lucas Costa (Brazil), Anthony Alley (South Dakota), Richard Lauricella (Washington), and Thomas Netzel (Washington) received the minor orders of porter and lector. Frater Martin Sentman, CMRI (Michigan) received the minor order of exorcist and acolyte. Franz and Leopold Trauner (Austria) both received the first of the major orders and became subdeacons.
After the ordination Mass, the bishop took the priests, seminarians, and their families out for brunch. Afterwards, we returned to the church and prepared to chant solemn Vespers in honor of Our Lady. Then in the late afternoon/ early evening, there was a delicious Mexican dinner that was provided for the entire parish. Overall, it was a very blessed day and we thank you for your prayers.
I’ve uploaded some pictures from the ordination ceremonies and am attaching a link to the recording of solemn Vespers. You will also be able to find the December edition of our seminary newsletter online. For those who receive a physical copy in the mail, we were able to send those out today and they should arrive within the next few days. We deeply appreciate your prayers and support of our seminary.
Our fall semester has now come to an end and the seminarians are making their way home for a few weeks of Christmas break. Their seminary classes will resume on January 8.
We pray you all have a grace-filled remainder of this Advent season. God bless you!
Fr. Borja
